Poppin' Out of Control!

Once again we seemed to have fallen just a little behind in documenting all of the fascinating things that Emily, and to a lesser extend Christa & I, have been up to. It is not that we don't want to blog, it's just that between doing the things we've been doing, working, and getting the pictures "blog ready," we seem to run out of time to actually blog. Enough of my complainin' and explainin' and let's get down to business.

Recently, (well not really at this point, but let's pretend OK?) Grandma B bought Emily a ball popper to amuse her (us) when we are at her house. Ball poppers, if you have never experienced one, are a very simple device that uses a fan to launch little plastic balls into the air. While it does this, it plays music, and makes fun noises in time with the balls launching out of the tube. This makes for great fun when you add the final ingredient, one cute, curious, crazy baby. Emily is fascinated by this, not so much in chasing down the balls after they launch, but in trying to stop them from launching. She also loves watching them go flying in the air. Shortly after starting to play with this wonderful machine, Emily discovered that if you put the popper on its side, it would launch the balls like a canon at Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy and me, which she really enjoys.

So there you have it, get yourself a ball popper today for hours of family fun. Hopefully this will get us back on track to getting up to date. So, watch this space for new blogs, there are many in the pipeline, trust me.

"Hmmmmm . . . I wonder what this is."

It's Emily's very own, brand new, ball popper!

"Grandma, have you seen this thing? These really pretty balls come shooting out of this yellow tubey thingy! It's amazing!"

"Look, here it comes!"

"Grandma, look they keep popping out of that thing!"

"Tah-Dah!"

Tired of chasing the balls that shoot out of the ball popper, Emily opted to take a break by shaking her rhino-saurus rattle. She was putting on a little show for us.

Hey, a rhino! You know who likes rhinos, don't you?

Ummm... that ball popper thing looks kind of dangerous. What happens if you have your face over the yellow tubey thingy when it pops?

You know, it kind of reminds me of Elefun. Ask Sarah if you don't know what that is - I wonder if she remembers...
