Baby Bunny's Birthday Bash

Right at the beginning of December, we had planned a very small gathering at the Brookfield Zoo to celebrate Emily and Hudson (the polar bear) both turning One Year Old. For those of you not "initiated" by gathering, we of course mean a letterboxing event of sorts.

Well the weather didn't really cooperate for an outdoor gathering, and even we were much later than we would have liked as our morning activities were delayed and the weather interfered with our timely arrival at the zoo. As it was, only our friends FungusWoman and the soon to be Atomic Beans were able to come.

Once we FINALLY arrived, FungusWoman suggested we all head over to her house, where it was warm and dry, have some pizza, exchange some stamps, and just catch up with one another. Emily, as much as she likes the zoo, thought this was an excellent idea, and I have to say we agreed. So we all adjourned to FungusWoman's home and proceeded to have an excellent evening. Emily had a great time exploring a new place and also meeting Hershey, FungusWoman's beautiful dog. We all talked until very late, time really flew by, nothing beats an evening spent with good friends and good conversation, and a few stamps thrown in for fun.

As much as we enjoyed ourselves, I think we will wait for warmer weather until our next planned gathering. So there you go, as we reach the midpoint of January another post closer to our goal! Now let's let the pictures take us home . . .

"Hey, look at all of this fun stuff that is hanging on Daddy's backpack!"

"Thank You!!!! I LOVE tissue paper!"

"Where's Hershey? Do you think she wants to play fetch?"

"There's more than just tissue paper in this bag!"

All partied out, Emily found her "spot" on Daddy's lap, well . . . sort of.
